The history of Fein

The history of Fein

Brands like Milwaukee, Fein and Festool have been around for about 80 years. In this case, Fein lasts much longer than 80 years. In this blog article, we will  take a look at this brand and its products.

Fein telephone and telephone net

No less than 146 years ago, the Fein company was founded. Wilhelm Fein did this in 1867 to establish a workshop for electrical and physical devices. At the time, electrical engineering was still a new invention. Around 1877 - a few months after Bell's Telephone - Fein produced a telephone with a horseshoe magnet attached. Between 1882 and 1885 the company set up a telephone network in Barcelona, and in 1892 Fein made the first telegraphic opera broadcast possible from Stuttgart. These were very valuable developments in the company's first 25 years.

The first power tools

Soon after, the first electromechanical factory in Stuttgart followed in 1888. From that point on, developments continued, and in those followed years, among other things, a dynamo machine and an electric lighting car were developed. In 1895, the company reached yet another high point, when the first electric tool was developed. The electric hand drill was intended to make one's own work easier.

Tools for orthopedics

One power tool after another appeared on the market, and in 1968 the company introduced a plaster bandage saw. This saw was used primarily in orthopedics for cutting plaster bandages. By saw it opens the hard bandage, but in the process does not injure the patient's skin. Since its foundation 146 years ago, numerous tool products have been brought to the market. In Toolnation's webshop you will find only the best products. One of the very good products of the moment from Fein is the Fein Multimaster.
