Warranty and repairs
Private customers, 2-year statutory warranty.
For private customers, a statutory warranty period of 2 years applies. The warranty period begins on the invoice date of the item.
Note: for the legal warranty, the submission of the invoice from your purchase is mandatory. We recommend that you always register your machine with the relevant manufacturer upon receipt (if possible). This way, your purchases are known to the manufacturer and any warranty claims are easier to process.
Business customers, 1-year statutory warranty.
For business customers, a 1-year statutory warranty period applies. The warranty period starts on the invoice date of the item.

Extended warranty, up to 5 years. How it works.
Because Toolnation is an official dealer of brands such as Bosch, DeWalt, Festool, Fein, Milwaukee, Metabo, Mafell and Makita, you can take advantage of an extended warranty of up to 5 years with us. This can be (depending on the article and brand) 1, or 2 years on top of the statutory warranty, after registration with the manufacturer. The maximum warranty is specified with each product.

Terms of Extended Warranty:
- Register your machine with the relevant manufacturer within 30 days to activate the extended warranty and receive the warranty certificate by the manufacturer.
- In case of any warranty claim, please forward the warranty certificate to us.
- If your registration is not completed within 30 days, your extended warranty will unfortunately expire.
- The extended warranty applies only to products purchased from 01-09-2018.
- The exact warranty period of the product is stated individually for each item.
- Note: with Festool, insurance for repair costs and theft expires after 36 months.
- The extended warranty does not apply to pressure washers, internal combustion engine powered machines and air tools.
Registration for Extended Warranty.
You must register the purchased items within 30 days to activate the extended warranty. Please click below on the appropriate manufacturer of the item you wish to register. You will then be redirected to the manufacturer's website.
If an item becomes defective within the warranty period, you can have it repaired by our own repair service, where our staff will perform repairs within the manufacturer's terms and conditions. To request a repair, follow the steps below.
1/ Read the terms and conditions.
Always read our > warranty conditions first to see if the item is within warranty.
2/ Gather documents.
Gather the purchase invoice of the article (you have received it by mail) and the manufacturer's warranty certificate (in case of extended warranty).
3/ Send the request.
- Contact us and attach a clear photo and description of the defect.
- Include your purchase invoice and the warranty certificate (in case of extended warranty).
- Send your request using the contact form at the bottom of this page.
4/ Assessment
Our customer service will evaluate your request and will inform you within +/- 2 working days.
Is your repair within the warranty?
Then you will receive feedback from our customer service about the estimated repair time and how to proceed. You pay the shipping costs and we send the item back at our expense, after repair.
Is your repair outside the warranty?
Then you will receive feedback from our customer service with a fee, the estimated repair and further course of action. You must pay all shipping costs.
Additional Conditions
Note: We charge a €30 (excl. VAT) examination and handling fee for machines returned without repair.
Subsequent registration of your machine or submission of the appropriate documents is not possible.
Items sent to us without registration will be returned. Made costs for returning these items are at your expense. The costs for these shipments are:
- For package of 0-25 kg > € 45.00 excl. VAT (valid within the Benelux)
- For package of 0-50 kg > € 80.00 excl. VAT (valid within the Benelux)
- For pallets of 0-200 kg > € 150.00 excl. VAT (valid within the Benelux)
- For pallets of 200+ kg > € 250.00 excl. VAT (valid within the Benelux)
For machines and/or articles outside the Benelux other rates apply and these are available on request.
Legal warranty
For the legal guarantee, the invoice of your purchase is sufficient. You will automatically receive the invoice of your order from us via email. The warranty period starts on the invoice date of the product.
Extended warranty
For the extended warranty, we need the invoice of your purchase along the manufacturer's warranty certificate. For this, you need to register your machine with the relevant manufacturer within 30 days. The warranty period starts on the invoice date of the product.
Tip: We recommend always registering your machine with the relevant manufacturer upon receipt (if possible). In this way, your purchases will be known to the manufacturer and any warranty claims will be easier to process.
Yes, often we can order parts of individual machines from the respective supplier.
