Using Locking Pliers
A pair of locking pliers can do more than just clamping pliers or other hard objects together. They can also help when a nut or bolt is stuck and so damaged that a socket wrench or open-end wrench can no longer provide a solution. Because a locking plier is fixed, and you therefore do not have to constantly squeeze, it is also the ideal tool for gluing wooden plates.
Different types of Locking Pliers
Because there are so many possible applications, there are different types of locking pliers on the market, each with its own shape. For example, these tools are available with a curved jaw, a straight jaw, a long jaw, and so on. In addition, you have the choice of wide-mouth locking pliers, C-mouth locking pliers, welding locking pliers, locking pliers and torque locking chain pliers.
Features
In addition to the different jaw shapes, there are other features you will need to consider when buying pliers. They are available in different sizes, where the strength of the tool is also an important consideration. Pliers that are not strong enough will not be able to hold materials properly, while pliers that are too strong could damage certain materials. In general, the larger the pliers, the more force you can apply to them.
