Metabo offers an additional manufacturer's warranty in addition to the 2-year warranty. With the Metabo XXL warranty, you get an extra year of warranty after registering your Metabo tool. Make sure you register each tool individually and register with Metabo within 30 days of purchasing the product(s). If the machine, battery or charger is not registered within 30 days, the extra year of manufacturer's warranty will expire.
