• For optimum filing performance, place the file against the beveled cutting edge of the tooth at an angle of 25 to 45° to the saw. Then file from the inside to the outside. File all left chisels of the chain first and then all right chisels. The difference between the chisels and the depth counters is between 0.5 mm and 0.75 mm. Check the depth counters every 2 to 3 filings. Make sure the chain is properly tensioned so that the chisels do not move while filing.
