You probably already knew that a heat gun is an electrical tool that blows out hot air. But do you know what jobs you can use it for? Here is a handy overview.

Removing paint layers

This is one of the jobs for which this tool is most often used. The most useful tool for removing paint layers is a heat gun, and most craftsmen know this. The handy air gun removes layers of paint by heating them, then you can easily scrape them off with a paint scraper.

Removing weeds

Heat guns can also be used for weed removal. This way you do not have to pollute your garden with toxic substances. With a heat gun you will be able to get rid of weeds efficiently!

Cleaning

With a heat gun, you can also clean. This tool is even ideal for cleaning because of its high temperature. The heat kills all bacteria so that you can easily disinfect surfaces. In addition, heat guns are also much more environmentally friendly than other cleaners.

Stripping Cables

The reflector nozzle of a heat gun can be used to strip the insulation from your cables. You can also use this nozzle to bundle your cables.

Gluing and glue removal

It often happens that glue dries too quickly and no longer sticks. With a heat gun, you can keep your glue liquid and ensure that you have more time to stick. This is useful when you are gluing larger surfaces. If you have already glued certain objects, but want to loosen these glued pieces again, it also comes in handy! The hot air quickly loosens glued objects.

Bending material

Heat guns are ideal for bending various materials. For example, you can use it to bend PVC tubes, copper pipes or wood. With wood, however, make sure that you wet it first before using it!
