Privacy statement

We are committed to protecting your privacy. Below you will find detailed information about how we handle your data.

1. Access data and hosting

You can visit our website without having to enter any personal data. For each visit to the website, the server only automatically saves a so-called server log file, which records e.g. the name of the visited page, your IP address, date and time of the visit, the amount of data sent, the provider from which you visit the site (access data) and the visit.

Access data is processed exclusively for the purpose of ensuring smooth operation of the site and optimising our offer. The purpose of this is in accordance with Article 6, paragraph 1, sentence 1, point f of the GDPR to safeguard our legitimate interest, which is decisive when weighing up interests, in the correct presentation of our offer. All access data will be deleted no later than seven days after the end of the visit to the site.

Third-party hosting services
As part of processing on our behalf, a third party provides services on our behalf for the hosting and display of the website. All data collected within the framework of the use of this website or on the forms intended for this purpose in the web shop, as indicated below, will be processed on its servers. Processing on other servers takes place exclusively in the manner explained here.

This service provider is established in a country of the European Union or the European Economic Area.

2. Data collection and processing for the purpose of executing the agreement and when opening a customer account

We collect personal data when you voluntarily provide it to us as part of your order, when you contact us (e.g. via a contact form or e-mail) or when you create a customer account. Mandatory fields are marked as such, as in such cases we need the data for the execution of the agreement or for the processing of the contact or the creation of the account, respectively, and without completing them, you cannot complete the order and/or open the account or send the contact form. Which exact data is collected, is visible in each relevant form. We use the data provided by you in accordance with Article 6, paragraph 1, sentence 1, point b of the GDPR for the execution of the agreement and the processing of your requests. After the complete execution of the agreement, or the deletion of your customer account, your data will be restricted for further processing and deleted after the expiry of the applicable tax and commercial law retention periods, unless you have given your express consent to the further use of your data or we reserve the right to process the data further, provided this is legally permissible, and about which we inform you in this statement. Deleting your customer account is possible at any time and can be done either by sending a message via the contact option indicated below or via a designated function in the customer account.

3. Data transfer

In order to execute the contract in accordance with Article 6, paragraph 1, sentence 1, point b of the GDPR, we transfer your data to the shipping company commissioned to execute the delivery, if this is necessary for the delivery of the ordered goods. Depending on the payment provider that you select in the order process, we transfer the payment data collected for this purpose to the credit institution and, if applicable, to the payment providers working on our behalf or to the selected payment service to process payments. In part, the selected payment provider also collects this data itself, insofar as you create an account with them. In this case, you must log in to the payment provider with your login details during the ordering process. This is subject to the privacy statement of the respective payment provider.

Data transfer to shipping companies

If you have given us your express consent to do so during or after your order, we will pass on your e-mail address and telephone number to the selected shipping company in accordance with Article 6, paragraph 1, sentence 1, point a of the GDPR so that it can contact you before delivering the notice or arranging for delivery.

This consent can be revoked at any time by giving notice via the contact option indicated below or directly to the shipping company via the contact address indicated below. After revocation, we will delete your data provided for this purpose unless you have given your express consent to the further use of your data or we reserve the right to process the data further, provided this is permitted by law, and about which we inform you in this statement.

4. E-mail newsletter and postal advertising

E-mail advertising

We use your e-mail address and electronic data obtained in the course of your purchase to inform you about our own similar products. You may oppose this by using the unsubscribe option offered in our communications. Your electronic contact details will be provided to a service provider, who will send the newsletter on our behalf. This service provider is established in a country of the European Union or the European Economic Area.

Unsubscribing from the newsletter is possible at any time and can be done by sending a message via the contact option indicated below or via a designated link in the newsletter. After unsubscribing, we will delete your e-mail address unless you have given your express consent to the further use of your data or we reserve the right to process the data further, provided this is legally permissible, and about which we inform you in this statement.

Advertising by post and your right to object

We also reserve the right to use your first and last name and your postal address for our own advertising purposes, e.g. to send you interesting offers and information about our products by post. The purpose of this is to safeguard our legitimate interest, which is decisive when weighing up the interests, in promotionally approaching customers in accordance with Article 6, paragraph 1, sentence 1, point f of the GDPR.

Advertising mailings are delivered by a service provider on our behalf, to whom we then pass on your data.

You may object at any time to the storage and use of your data for these purposes by sending a message via the contact option indicated below.

5. Integration of the Trusted Shops Trustbadge

In order to display our Trusted Shops quality mark, any collected ratings and the Trusted Shops product range after an order has been placed, the Trusted Shops Trustbadge has been integrated into this webpage.

After weighing up our various interests, this protects the legitimate prevailing interests for optimal marketing of our offer. The Trustbadge and the services advertised with it are a product of TRUSTED SHOPS GmbH, Subbelrather Str. 15C, 50823 Cologne, Germany. When a Trustbadge is requested, the web server automatically saves a so-called server log file which documents your request with, for example, your IP address, the date and time of the request, the amount of data sent and the name of your internet service provider (access data). This access data will not be processed and will be automatically overwritten no later than 7 days after your last visit to the page.

Other personal data will only be transferred to Trusted Shops if you choose to use the Trusted Shops products after placing an order or if you are already registered for their use. In this case, the contractual agreement between you and Trusted Shops applies.

Use of Google (Universal) Analytics for website visit analysis

This website uses Google (Universal) Analytics for website analysis to analyse the website visit. The web analytics service is provided by Google Ireland Limited, a company incorporated under Irish law with its registered office at Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (www.google.nl). The purpose of this is to safeguard our legitimate interest, which is decisive when weighing up the interests, in the correct presentation of our offer in accordance with Article 6, paragraph 1, sentence 1, sub f of the GDPR. Google (Universal) Analytics uses methods that enable an analysis of your use of the website, such as cookies. The information generated automatically about your use of this website is generally transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The IP address is truncated by activating IP anonymisation on this website before transmission within member states of the European Union or in other member states of the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. The anonymised IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics will not be associated with any other data held by Google. At the end of our use of Google Analytics and the purposes pursued, the data collected in this context will be deleted.

Insofar as information is transferred to and stored by Google servers in the USA, the American company Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield. A current certificate can be viewed here. On the basis of this agreement between the USA and the European Commission, the European Commission has established an adequate level of data protection for companies certified under the Privacy Shield.

You can prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing it by downloading and installing the browser plug-in via the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=nl

As an alternative to the browser plug-in, you can click this link to prevent Google Analytics from registering on this website in the future. In doing so, an opt-out cookie is placed on your device. If you delete your cookies, you must click on this link again.

7. Advertising via marketing networks

Google Ads Remarketing
We advertise this website via Google Ads, both in the Google search results and on the websites of third parties. When visiting our website, a so-called remarketing cookie from Google is placed, which automatically uses a cookie ID under a pseudonym to enable interest-based advertising based on the websites you visit. The purpose of this is to safeguard our legitimate interest, which is determined by weighing the interests, in optimally marketing our website in accordance with Article 6, paragraph 1, sentence 1, point f of the GDPR.

More extensive data processing will only take place if you have given Google your consent to link your website and app browsing history to your Google Account and to personalise the ads you see online based on the information in your Google Account. If, in this case, you are logged in to Google during your visit to our website, Google will use your data in combination with Google Analytics data to create and define target group lists for cross-device remarketing. For this purpose, your personal data from Google will be temporarily linked to data from Google Analytics in order to create target groups.

Google Ads Remarketing is a service of Google LLC (www.google.nl). Google LLC is headquartered in the USA and is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield. You can view a recent certificate here. On the basis of this treaty between the USA and the European Commission, the latter has established a sufficient level of data protection for companies certified under the Privacy Shield.

You can deactivate the remarketing cookie this link. You can also go to the Digital Advertising Alliance for information about the placement of cookies and to change your settings in that context.

8. Social media plugins

Use of social plugins of Facebook, X/Twitter, Google, Instagram

Our website contains ‘social buttons’ from social media.

When you request a page on our website that contains such a plugin, your browser creates a direct connection to the servers of Facebook, Google, X/Twitter or Instagram. The content of the plugin is sent directly to your browser by the respective provider and integrated into the page. Through the integration of the plugin, the providers receive the information that your browser has requested the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a profile or happen to not be logged in. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted from your browser directly to a server of the respective provider (possibly in the USA) and stored there. If you are logged in to one of the services, the providers can link the visit to our website 1:1 to your profile on the relevant social network. If you interact with the plugin, e.g. click on the 'like' or 'share' button, this information is also transmitted directly to a provider's server and stored there. The information is also made public in the social network and shown to your contacts there. This serves our legitimate interests for optimal marketing of our offerings, which prevail when weighing the respective interests of the parties in accordance with Article 6, paragraph 1, sentence 1, point f of the GDPR.

Purpose and scope of data collection and further processing and use of the data by the providers on their pages, as well as a contact option and your corresponding rights and setting options to protect your privacy, can be found in the providers' data protection explanation.

> Facebook Privacy Policy

> X/Twitter Privacy Policy

> Google Privacy Policy

> Instagram Privacy Policy

If you do not want the social media to link the data collected via our website 1:1 to your profile on the respective service, you must log out of that service before visiting our website. You can also block the loading of the plugins completely with add-ons for your browser, e.g. with the script blocker “NoScript” (http://noscript.net/).

9. Sending review reminders
