Warranty conditions

Private customers: 2 years statutory warranty.

For private customers, a legally established warranty period of 2 years applies. Please note: the provision of the invoice for your purchase is mandatory for the statutory warranty. The warranty period starts on the invoice date of the item. We recommend that you always register your machine with the respective manufacturer after receipt (if possible). This way, your purchases are known to the manufacturer, and any warranty claims can be processed more easily.

Business customers: 1 year statutory warranty.

For business customers, a legally established warranty period of 1 year applies. Please note: the provision of the invoice for your purchase is mandatory for the statutory warranty. The warranty period starts on the invoice date of the item. We recommend that you always register your machine with the respective manufacturer after receipt (if possible). This way, your purchases are known to the manufacturer, and any warranty claims can be processed more easily.

Additional warranty from Toolnation:

Extended warranty, up to a maximum of 5 years!

As Toolnation is an official dealer of brands such as Bosch, DeWalt, Festool, Fein, Milwaukee, Metabo, Mafell, and Makita, you can take advantage of an extended warranty of up to a maximum of 5 years. Depending on the item and brand, this may be an additional 1 or 2 years on top of the statutory warranty of 1 or 2 years, after registration with the manufacturer. The maximum warranty is indicated for each item.

Conditions for the extended warranty:

Register your machine within 30 days with the respective manufacturer to activate the extended warranty and receive the warranty certificate from the manufacturer.
In the event of a warranty claim, please send us the warranty certificate.
If your registration is not completed within 30 days, unfortunately, your extended warranty will expire.
The extended warranty only applies to products purchased from 01-09-2018.
The exact warranty period for the product is exceptionally specified for each item.
Please note: the Festool insurance for repair costs and theft expires after 36 months.
The extended warranty does not apply to high-pressure cleaners, machines with combustion engines, and pneumatic tools.

Repairs during the warranty period

If your item becomes defective within the warranty period, you can make use of our repair service.
The conditions stated on our page for repairs, exchanges and returns must be observed.

Please note: we will process your request within 14 working days. If we need to send your purchase for repair to the manufacturer or if special parts need to be ordered, a repair may take longer. We will do our best to keep you informed as well as possible.

Machine defective within the warranty period: Right to warranty?

Although your machine may become defective within the warranty period, this does NOT automatically mean that all repairs are covered under warranty.
Normal wear and tear of a machine is NOT covered by the warranty.
The warranty only applies in cases of demonstrable manufacturing defects recognized by the manufacturer.
Wear and tear caused by normal use, such as carbon brushes, connection cables, ball bearings, worn gears, saw blades, drill chucks, etc., is NOT covered by the warranty. In such cases, maintenance costs as well as return shipping costs to the customer will be charged.

Additional advice

It is important for you as a customer to make purchases with full warranty from an official dealer. In practice, it appears that various webshops offer products at lower prices. These are often machines from abroad that have been modified. This can lead to malfunctions or even fires. The manufacturer’s warranty on these products is usually nonexistent or limited to 6 months.
