• The APS Basic series G2 is the basic series among screw compressors and are extremely reliable machines with low noise levels. The APS 3 Basic G2 is a standalone screw compressor with a more efficient screw block than its predecessor and is a compact model. Due to the more efficient screw block, this series of screw compressors have approximately 15% higher compressed air output. The screw compressor is easy to operate because it features the start/stop system with no lag time and thus all running hours are pumping hours. The great advantage of a screw compressor is that it is 100% loadable. Due to its proper composition, its applicability is very high. If the low noise level is desirable, but there is little air consumption, a screw compressor can still be installed, for example, with a heating belt and the right pressure vessel.
• The 3 hp APS 3 Basic G2 features a C43 screw block and has a working pressure between 5.5 and 10 bar. The new C43 screw block in the Basic series is the replacement for the C40 screw block. As reliable as its predecessor, but larger and the tolerances are smaller, giving 15% more air output with the same power and this provides energy savings.
  The screw block is V-belt driven, has a motor rating of IE3 and degree of protection IP55. The speed of the screw block is 2950 RPM, which gives an effective capacity of 294 l/min.
• The ambient temperature should be between 1°C and 46°C for optimum performance. When placing the screw compressor, remember that it requires power current to operate.
• The standalone APS 3 Basic G2 is a compact model without a pressure vessel. This means that you need a pressure vessel to store compressed air, at a minimum you need a 300 liter pressure vessel. A larger pressure vessel is, of course, also possible and ensures that the screw compressor has to run longer to fill it up, so it gets to operating temperature properly. This minimizes the formation of condensation in the separator tank and prevents damage to the screw block. Also, a larger pressure vessel provides a more stable pressure in the system, allowing consumers to operate at a constant pressure. A screw compressor is rated for 100% load and may be used 24/7.
• With the start/stop system this screw compressor is easy to operate, with the on/off switch you turn on the machine and the screw compressor does its work. The pressure gauge shows how much pressure the machine builds up and the hour meter keeps track of the number of running hours. The air connection of this screw compressor is 3/4".
• To cool the screw compressor, it is equipped with forced air cooling by means of a fan attached to the motor. The oil temperature is controlled by a thermostat that runs the oil through the cooler when the maximum temperature is reached. If average air consumption is low, then a heating belt can still keep the oil at temperature and there is little condensation in the oil. If compressed air is then in high demand, it is available, and this makes a screw compressor widely available.
