White for paint

Especially for removing or roughening paint, varnish or plaster, the HiKOKI abrasives range includes white abrasive paper. Grains of white aluminium oxide with calcium sterate coating, which prevents the grain from clogging, are bonded to this paper with a double synthetic resin layer. The coated grains have the extra property that they stay sharp for a long time; a good property for material removal. Calcium sterate acts as a draining agent, preventing the hot grit from sticking to the sanding side of the paper. The constant rotation of the sanding foot effectively discharges the abrasive towards the edges. This result is even more noticeable when using a proper dust extraction system. The resin used contributes to the longer life of these abrasives. It remains stable under frictional heat generated during the sanding process and is therefore widely used in the automotive industry.
