Precision meets flexibility. The idea of developing a new circular saw is not new. What is new is to completely rethink the plunge saw and redesign all of its components to create a unique machine. The result: the Mafell plunge-cut saw is extremely precise, easy to handle - and, thanks to the latest battery technology, even more mobile.

Saw cuts up to 57 mm

• At a saw blade setting of 0°, cuts of up to 57 mm* are possible.
• Due to the tilting system, the cutting depth is hardly reduced when cutting with a tilted saw blade.
• At 45°, for example, this allows cutting to a depth of 40.5 mm

More flexibility

With or without guide ruler

• The cutting depth can be adjusted to the millimeter.
• By simply turning the cutting depth indicator, the cutting depth is accurately indicated both with and without a guide ruler.

The MT 55 is a high-precision multi-talent: a master of plunge, parting, crosscut and mitre cuts without fraying. The MT 55 cuts chipboard, plywood, furniture board, plywood, OSB, drywall, softboard, cement fiberboard and laminated boards as precisely as solid wood, plexiglass, aluminum sheet, aluminum profiles, laminate and floorboard.

-1° Undercut

• For invisible seams between boards
• It's that simple: 1. Unscrew a single knob on the front. Push aside 0° stop and set the MT 55 to -1°. 2. Using this setting, cut both boards to size from the underside 3. Result: fray-free cuts that are perfectly aligned on the visible side.

Front zippers

• For fray-free cuts on both sides of the workpiece, for example when shortening doors.
• Press the front stop. This reduces the cutting depth to 2.5 mm and moves the saw blade a tiny bit sideways relative to the cutting line. 2. Set the MT 55 on the guide ruler and make the pre-zip cut. 3. Snap back the pre-zipper stop. 4. Cut through the workpiece.

Indentation with position indicator

• Cutting recesses for cooktops, sinks, ventilation grills, Fermacell and many other applications
• Set the cutting depth on the position indicator and cut into the workpiece from the visible side 2. The red riders on the position indicator mark exactly where the saw blade enters and exits the material at the top.

Miter saws with angle stop

• For angled trim cuts, e.g. for baseboards and moldings It's this easy: 1. Set the desired angle using the degree scale. 2. Attach the angle stop to the guide ruler with the distance piece 3. Position the guide ruler and angle stop on the workpiece against the edge 4. Saw off the workpiece at exactly the set angle.
