How does a Hydrophore Pump work?
Water is sucked in by the pump via the suction connection. Then this water is pumped into the pressure vessel. When this pressure vessel is full, usually at about 20 liters, the hydrophore switches itself off. The pump is also connected to the discharge pipe. This pipe is connected to one or more taps in or around the house. The moment a tap point is opened, water will be released from the pressure vessel. When all the water has drained from the pressure vessel, the pump is immediately switched on. If not all the water from the pressure vessel is used, the pump will not yet switch on. This happens when the tap point is turned off. Now the pump automatically refills the pressure vessel and will switch off again when the pressure vessel is completely filled. This process will be repeated every day. In principle, the pump is the same as an irrigation pump, only a better version. An irrigation pump has no pressure switch or pressure vessel. This ensures that it runs continuously and does not switch on or off automatically. A hydrophore pump is in many cases a better option. Have you not yet decided which pump to order? When does the pressure boosting system need replacing?
In most cases, the pump is good for a long time. There is therefore hardly ever a need for replacement. All pumps in our webshop therefore have a long guarantee of around three years. However, we do recommend that you check the pump once a year. This will ensure that you are on time when it needs replacing. This way, you can be sure that the installation works as it should!
